Emilia Kurylowicz comes from the postindustrial city of Lodz, Poland. Born in the 80s, she was growing up in two political systems, two centuries and two technological eras. Situated somewhere between epic and awkward, her film work explores ambiguous emotions, confusing beauty and ironic fantasies.
